What did you do this past week?

I spent this last week just working on the Darwin project since that is the only project that I have due this upcoming week. Outside of classes, I didn’t have much going on.

What’s in your way?

I’m still procrastinating on projects. I’m definitely going to be turning in Darwin close to the deadline.

What will you do next week?

This next week I will be going home for Thanksgiving. I’m excited to see my family for the first time in a while.

If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #12: More Getters and Setters?

This paper seemed like a repeat of the last few papers. I feel like the author doesn’t make the best point for following the practices that are stated. The examples aren’t the best for me in understanding the point of some of the objects that he creates.

What was your experience of initializations, copy constructor, copy assignment, move constructor, and nove assignment? (this question will vary, week to week)

I really liked the lessons from this last week. I felt like I learned a lot of material that is extremely useful. I really enjoyed the distinctions between the constructors since that was something that was on the back of my mind when doing the allocator project and Darwin as well. The detailed info on the move assignment also helped clear up some confusion on the = operator.

What made you happy this week?

I got to pick up a new game for my Switch this last week and play that during my free time. I haven’t picked up the Switch in a bit and so that was a lot of fun.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I find that half doses of my preworkout make a great substitute for redbull and I think is also cheaper in the long run compared to buying the cans. If you’re also a caffine addict it might be worth looking into.
