What did you do this past week?

This last week didn’t have me doing a lot of school related work and so I was able to put in extra hours at my job. I also binged a lot of anime while I had the time to do it.

What’s in your way?

I’m beginning my carb cycling and intermittent this week and the drop in carb intake has not been fun. I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee to keep my energy up until my fasting window. I might have to adjust the window later if the energy drop interferes with school.

What will you do next week?

Hopefully if nothing comes up, I’ll be able to wrap up the last week of the current workout program I’m on and start the next one. The next program involves a lot of high intensity cardio which is something I haven’t done in a program in a few years.

If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #7: Open-Closed Principle?

I’ve read that paper before and I always like the examples that are used throughout it to illustrate the points. It actually ties into the work I’m currently doing since a major part of the code base I work with involves taking base abstract classes and extending them for specific client company integrations.

What was your experience of arguments, returns, and consts? (this question will vary, week to week)

The week’s lectures were interesting. This was part of c++ that I knew very little about and did my best to keep up with the material. I feel like I’m going to need practice though with the concepts, especially with const, to lock them down.

What made you happy this week?

I had a good amount of free time this week to do what I wanted which doesn’t come up too often. I also was able to schedule a tattoo for December with an artist that I really wanted to get.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I had a friend from West Point come and visit me this week and was telling me a lot of cool things about the army’s cyber warfare programs. They have a lot of interesting career opportunities that might interest some people and all of the info can be found online.
